YLA Legal Network
Learn. Practise. Connect. Grow.
YLA Legal Network is the student desk of Yeshwant Legal Associates. It is for LL.B. and LL.M. students who want practical skill, a professional circle, and, if selected, a role in their college. Joining does not make you an advocate. It is not a job, an internship, or a brief.
Legal knowledge, drafting, research, and the confidence to write a note a senior would read.
Students, junior advocates, and the advocates of these chambers. An introduction is not paid.
College discussions and a campus application. Leadership here is education. It is not a search for clients.
Join, then read, watch, practise, and assess
Each week has a written note and a YouTube briefing. You start with the limits: who may speak, and who may not.
Exercises on facts, introductions, enquiries, and referrals. The work is practice. It is not a paper for a court.
Students do not advise, quote a fee, or accept a brief. An advocate remains responsible for any real matter.
The weeks walk through how a file is described, which forum is which, and which fact must be written down.
You draft on invented facts and look up the material the week names. A live pleading is not set as homework.
A short introduction, a careful note, and the habit of not promising a result.
Classmates, juniors, and advocates who have accepted a connection. You do not see the whole profession.
After you have started, you may apply to gather students at your college. The weeks do not depend on that application.
A writing tool may prepare a draft for a reviewer. The draft is not the firm's opinion, and it is not a substitute for reading the paper.
